Dr. Teresa Conte has been a nurse for 25 years, 19 of which were spent at the bedside in pediatric oncology. She currently is a professor of pediatrics and Chair of the Department of Nursing at the University of Scranton. Dr. Conte has been fortunate to travel throughout the United States and Canada providing workshops on self-care and resiliency for nurses. She is also a Safe-Zone trainer and serves on the Safe Zone Committee at Scranton. Dr. Conte works with the committee to provide Safe Zone training to individuals and groups on campus and in the Scranton community with the goal of increasing awareness and opening dialogues about gender, sexuality, and inclusion.
