What will the virtual experience be like?

We will live-stream all of the keynote & general sessions, as well as the sponsored symposia. We are also pleased to offer networking opportunities in the virtual platform, a virtual poster hall, and opportunities to meet with exhibitors.

Will APHON consider Salt Lake City as a host city in the future?

Absolutely. We are all disappointed that the conference cannot occur in Salt Lake City this year and we will investigate the feasibility of booking again in the future.

Will you still plan to hold the Leadership Course and/or Chemo Bio Instructor Course virtually?

The Chemo/Bio Instructor course will be presented virtually this year. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the presentation content, the Leadership Course will be postponed to the 2022 Annual Conference.

I am a speaker; how will my education session/paper presentation be shared/presented?

Speakers were informed to schedule a date/time to pre-record their sessions which will be live broadcasted on the virtual platform. Presenters will have the opportunity to engage attendees in real-time using tools for Q&A. Any special session needs such as polling or use of videos will need to be communicated with APHON’s Education Manager, Kelsey Kind, at kkind@aphon.org.

Do I need to cancel my hotel reservation?

If you booked your hotel reservation at the host hotel Salt Lake Marriott Downtown City Creek through the APHON room block, your reservation will be automatically canceled. If you booked a hotel room outside of the room block or at another hotel, please ensure you cancel on your own.

Will APHON reimburse my paid airline ticket expense?

All flights were booked separately from APHON and directly through the airlines. Although we as an organization cannot assist with this, we’d like to share some information that may be helpful. Most domestic airlines have introduced flexible change and cancellation policies for both existing and new bookings. Below are details for each major airline that you may find valuable:

United Airlines | American Airlines | Delta Airlines | Southwest Airlines
