This activity will review NF1 diagnostic criteria, describe the complex pathophysiology that makes NF1-associated plexiform neurofibromas (PNs) difficult to treat, and summarize trial data for targeted medical therapies in NF1. Patient cases will showcase the pivotal role of the pediatric hem/onc nurse in managing NF1-associated tumors with these novel agents.
