"Mary Newman has been a Registered Nurse since 1986. She completed her MSN in Health Care Administration from the University of Delaware and received her BSN from Gwynedd-Mercy College. She holds two certifications, as a Certified Pediatric Oncology Nurse, and is Board-Certified as a Nurse Executive

Mary is the Director of Nursing for Nemours Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Nemours/Alfred I duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware. She has spent the last 20 years of her career in pediatric hematology and oncology, with the last 14 years in a management followed by her director role.
Mary has been a member of APHON locally and nationally since 2005. She served as chapter president and treasurer. Mary served on APHON’s Nominating Committee 2015-2018, and as Chair the last year of her term. Mary has been an instructor for APHON Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Course since 2009. Mary is currently serving on the APHON Local Chapter Committee, APHON Professional Development Committee, and APHON Chemotherapy Biotherapy Program Committee.
Mary’s passion is around leadership, developing nursing leaders at all levels, and promoting resiliency in nursing."
