Holly has worked in pediatric hematology/oncology for most of her career, first as a staff nurse from 1995-2001 and as a nurse practitioner since 2001. She became involved in APHON more than 20 years ago, and currently serves as co-president of the Austin APHON chapter after serving as co-president of the Ohio APHON chapter prior to relocating to Texas. She has been a member of the Children's Oncology Group since 2001 and is a disease committee nurse for ALL and will be the study nurse for the newly-opened infant ALL clinical trial.
Holly has presented both poster and podium presentations at the annual national APHON conferences and at the ASPHO meeting in 2014. She was the first nurse to present at Pediatric Grand Rounds at The Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. She served on the speakers bureau for Jazz Pharmaceuticals, and participated in an advisory group session with physician leaders from around the globe focused on the use of erwinia asparaginase in April 2014. While she has functioned in virtually all aspects of general pediatric hematology, oncology and survivorship, she has always had a special interest in leukemia/lymphoma. She values the relationships that she forms with her colleagues, her patients and their families throughout treatment.
