Courtney Sullivan is the Global Nursing Project Coordinator for the Department of Global Pediatric Medicine at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital where she is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and monitoring of global pediatric oncology nursing initiatives with over 20 hospitals in low- and middle-income countries (LMIC).
Presently, she oversees the operations of a Latin American pediatric oncology nurse educator training center in Chile and developed a Latin American nurse educator network. In addition to contributing to advancing the pediatric oncology nursing profession through St. Jude Global nursing initiatives, she has served in various roles within the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON), where she is presently Chair of the Global Outreach Committee. Courtney is also an active member of the International Society of Pediatric Oncology (SIOP) Pediatric Oncology in Developing Countries (PODC) Working Group and Baseline Nursing Standards Task Force. Presently, she is pursuing a PhD at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (advised by Wendy Landier, PhD CRNP FAAN) with a research interest of enhancing pediatric oncology nursing quality and patient outcomes.
