Clifton P. Thornton is a pediatric hematology and oncology nurse practitioner at the Herman & Walter Samuelson Children's Hospital at Sinai in Baltimore, Maryland. He is also currently a PhD student and 2018 Conway Scholar at the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing in Baltimore.
His research focuses on the supportive care of children, adolescents, and young adults who are undergoing treatment for cancer. Clifton's academic works have been published in international peer-reviewed journals and textbooks and findings have been presented at international conferences. By combining research interests with ongoing clinical practice, Clifton plans on closing the gap between academia and bedside practice.
