Maria Cristina Pinero, BSN, RN, CPHON graduated from Boston College and has been a nurse for almost 25 years. As Clinical Nurse IV her concentration has been in coordination of clinical operations. She has been instrumental in creating our Pediatric Ambulatory Care Center (PACC) outpatient acuity scale and Clinical Resource Nurse role.
As an APHON chemotherapy/biotherapy instructor, she has an insight into the nursing care required to maintain quality and safety. Maria Cristina was a founding member and served as previous chairperson on the PACC professional development committee. This consortium is dedicated to guiding nurses from orientation through their professional development, as novice to expert. She is also the founder and chairperson of the Unit Based Peer Review committee, a collective dedicated to the improvement of nursing practice through feedback. She has also had multi poster presentation regarding Peer Review, Auity Scale, Clinical Leadership and Methotrexate administration.
