Kim Buff is the Founder and Executive Director of Momcology®, a community-based pediatric cancer support and patient advocacy organization. Kim also serves on the Children's Oncology Group Patient Advocacy Committee and is the co-creator of a multi-institutional hospital caregiver support group intervention. Kim is a recent past Board Member of the Coalition Against Childhood Cancer (CAC2), and has served as a Community Mentor on a T32 Cancer Disaparaties Training grant.
Current advocate, stakeholder, and external advisory board contributions include the implementation of the Psychosocial Assessment Tool (PAT) in Pediatric Cancer, TIPS for Caregivers of Young Adult Brain Tumor Survivors, and Reducing Ethnic Disparities in Acute Leukemias (REDIAL). Kim’s son was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2009, and she has made supporting and building community for families and caregivers of children with cancer her life mission.
