Kelly Laschinger is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and Certified Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurse. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2000 at the University of Michigan and her Master of Science in Nursing in 2003 at Case Western Reserve University.
She has practiced for most of her career at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, holding both pediatric oncology nurse practitioner inpatient and outpatient roles, including a key role in the program development and coordination of both the Multidisciplinary Survivorship and Neuro-Oncology Programs. As a long time active member of both APHON and COG Nursing Discipline, Kelly has collaborated with key members of these nursing organizations over the years and been involved on a national level in several ways including COG conference planning, holding the position of CEU Coordinator for COG Nursing Discipline from 2005–2017, holding positions of appointed study nurse on two COG CNS tumor protocols, speaking at both APHON and COG conferences, and as author of the APHON Rhabdomyosarcoma Handbook for Families. She joined The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) in 2018 as a Clinical Trial Nurse Navigator, helping pediatric cancer patients and their families identify clinical trials and overcome barriers to enrollment. Kelly is directly involved in the pediatric initiatives at LLS including pediatric educational material/programs for families, healthcare providers, and school staff; parent feedback groups; and the Pediatric Acute Leukemia (PedAL) master trial. Her current position is the Manager of the Clinical Trial Support Center (CTSC) at LLS where she helps lead a team of nurse navigators in the fight against blood cancer.
