Karina Engelke obtained her BS with a focus in nursing at the University of Connecticut in 2003 and her MSN with a focus of Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from Boston College in 2008. Karina has worked as both an inpatient and outpatient nurse for the Division of Hematology/Oncology unit at Connecticut Children's since 2003. Throughout her career she has also worked as a nurse at the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp and as an inpatient nurse on the Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant unit at Boston Children's Hospital. Karina is an associate professor for the School of Nursing at Southern Connecticut State University. In her spare time, she enjoys snowboarding, hiking with her dog, and spending time with her two children, Christian and Hunter.
