David Hayden Rhodes graduated from Florida International University with his B.A. in Psychology in 2007 and then worked as an AP Psychology teacher in the Broward County Public School System. Feeling drawn to healthcare, he decided to pursue a career in nursing and graduated from Drexel University with his B.S.N. in 2015. He began his nursing career at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children where he gained experience in the NICU, Oncology, PICU, and General Pediatrics.
In 2016 David transitioned to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's Inpatient Oncology Unit, eager to specialize and develop concentrated content knowledge and skills. Currently he supports the unit as a Safety and Quality Specialist, where he works to reduce risk of harm, increase overall safety for patients and employees, and lead various quality improvement initiatives for the unit and the hospital.
