Debbie Harris MN, RN, CPNP-AC/PC, CNS, CPHON is a Nurse Practitioner at the Center for Cancer and Blood Disease Institute at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), where she provides care for patients living with sickle cell disease. She is an integral team member of the Sickle Cell Disease Initiative task-force, working with the interprofessional team to develop innovative, professional, evidence-based and culturally sensitive care.
In partnership with Trish Peterson NP and the planning committee, she helps lead the West Coast Sickle Cell Nurses conference, entering their tenth year. She is involved in professional practice activities such as mentorship, recruitment and retention, and NP ladder. She currently serves as the co-chair for the CHLA Advanced Practice Provider group. She earned her BSN from Mount Saint Mary's College, Master's in Nursing degree from UCLA and PNP program completion at CSULB.
