Dr. Beth Fisher is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Clemson University teaching in the undergraduate and graduate programs. She is also a practicing pediatric nurse practitioner in both the outpatient and inpatient settings at Prisma Health and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. She has practiced as an advanced practice nurse in pediatric hematology/oncology for 30 years. She enjoys working with the childhood cancer survivor population and has a special interest in assisting in successful transition care of older adolescents and young adults to adult-focused care. Dr. Fisher is active in Children's Oncology Group, including serving on the Long Term Follow-Up Task Force. She is currently leading a COG EBP Nursing Project and serves as the Nurse Liaison for the COG Return of Results and Disease Committee Nurses. Dr. Fisher is active in APHON, where she is member of the ACE Committee and continues to be an instructor with the Pediatric Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Course. In addition, she is active in the National Association for Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Association (NAPNAP) by serving on the Continuing Education Committee and with the Society of Pediatric Nurses where she serves on the Practice and Research Committee. Together Dr. Fisher and her husband Gene have four young adult children.
