The Ultimate Survivor — Recognition Breakfast for Certified Oncology Nurses* (RB)

Saturday, August 19
7:30 – 8:45 am
CNE Presentation

In 2002 Ethan Zohn was the winner of the hit television show, Survivor: Africa. Just a few years later he was diagnosed with a rare form of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. After multiple rounds of chemotherapy and an autologous stem cell transplant, Ethan learned that his cancer had returned.

Thanks to the dedication of a team of doctors and nurses, he underwent a course of experimental treatment and received a second stem cell transplant in 2011, this time from his brother.

As a two-time cancer-crusher, Ethan believes that a better and healthier world can be achieved through education, advocacy, and inspiration. Today he is in remission and will share the insights from his experiences that have helped him become the ultimate survivor.

*Please note that while this optional event is included in the conference fee, selecting the event on the registration form is required to attend. Space is limited to the first 300 certified hematology/oncology/BMT nurses who register.
