Suzanne Ameringer is professor of nursing at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. She has had a long career in pediatric nursing, including practice, teaching, and research. She has practiced in a variety of settings, including hospital, school, pediatric oncology, primary care, and public health nursing. Her research focus is on improving symptom management in adolescents and young adults with cancer and sickle cell disease.
