Shannon Davis has provided care to Pediatric Hematology/Oncology patients throughout her 14 year nursing career. Since 2010, she has practiced as a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner at Levine Children's Hospital. Her primary time is spent inpatient, however, rotates to the outpatient infusion clinic as well, managing infusion reactions and sick visits.
Shannon is the chair of the Chemotherapy Safety Committee, which has been instrumental in standardizing chemotherapy ordersets as well as identifying and implementing chemotherapy guidelines needed for the PHOT program. She is also the chair of the Chemotherapy Quality Committee, which has been key to identifying chemotherapy errors as well as tracking the significant progress and changes made by the Chemotherapy Safety Committee. Shannon is also currently working on a quality project for Sickle Cell patients, to improve the antibiotic administration time for patients seen in our Emergency Department.
