Misty Evans is a Nursing Instructor in the Pediatric Nursing Practitioner Acute Care program at Vanderbilt University. She is also a nurse practitioner at TriStar Children's Hospital Centennial in Nashville, TN. She received her doctorate degree from Vanderbilt in 2015.
Dr. Evans has a strong clinical background in pediatric hematology-oncology and hematopoietic stem cell transplant. She has had publications in such journals as the Journal for Bone Marrow Transplantation, Pediatric Blood & Cancer, and Pediatric Transplantation. She has been an invited speaker for the Children's Oncology Group, and Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant Consortium Nursing Discipline. She is President of the Music City Nashville APHON Chapter. Her clinical interests include GVHD management and supportive care during hematopoietic stem cell transplant.
