Misty D. Evans, DNP APRN CPNP-AC BMTCN®Nurse Practitioner/Faculty

Misty Evans is a Nursing Instructor in the pediatric acute care nurse practitioner program at Vanderbilt University. She is also a nurse practitioner with Sarah Cannon Research Institute at TriStar Children's Hospital in Nashville, TN. She received her Doctorate of Nursing from Vanderbilt University in 2015. Ms. Evans has a strong clinical background in pediatric hematology-oncology and hematopoietic stem cell transplant.

She has had publications in such journals as the Journal for Bone Marrow Transplantation, Pediatric Blood & Cancer, and Pediatric Transplantation. She has been an invited speaker for the Children's Oncology Group and Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant Consortium Nursing Discipline. She serves as Director at Large for the Association of Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurses (APHON) and is president of the local Music City Nashville APHON Chapter. Her clinical interests include GVHD management and supportive care during hematopoietic stem cell transplant.
