Kelly Tickle has practiced as a nurse since earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama in 2003. She earned her Masters of Science in Nursing in 2007 from Union University in Tennessee. She is also a Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse. She practiced as a PICU nurse at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
After earning her Masters, she worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist for children with Brain Tumors at St. Jude. She then, transitioned to hematology, working as a Nurse Practitioner in the Comprehensive Bleeding Disorder Center at Emory University and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in 2014 where she cares for patients with congenital and acquired bleeding disorders.
