Joan Ronan is a pediatric nurse practitioner at Boston Children’s Hospital/Dana Farber Cancer and Blood Disorders Center who specializes in leukemia and lymphoma. She primarily practices on the Oncology Unit at Boston Children's Hospital. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Duke University.
She initially worked as a staff nurse at Memorial in NYC and then in California working with pediatric oncology patients. She received her Master’s in Nursing from the University of California, San Francisco and has been working as a Clinical Nurse Specialist or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for over 20 years. She has held a national PNP certificate with AANC since 1996. In addition, she has held her Certified Pediatric Oncology Nurse certificate since 1993. She has been a long-standing nursing member of COG and presently a core nursing member of the COG Developmental Therapeutics Committee.
