Edith Guarini has been a pediatric nurse for 20 years with practical experience in hospital inpatient and outpatient pediatric populations, most of which has been spent practicing in pediatric oncology as a staff nurse. She has been a pediatric oncology nurse at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center for the past 15 years. Edith is presently the pediatric nurse coordinator since 2013 at the retinoblastoma practice at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Acting nurse liaison to the international center for international patients with retinoblastoma. Mentor and clinical resource to other staff nurses. Developed multiple patient education materials relevant to current specialty. Past poster presenter and podium speaker at a local, national and international level. National Magnet attendee and representative. Co-author of five publications. Continuing to evolve as a CNIV and striving to improve patient care and education as well as continuing to support clinical staff and professionalism.
