Edahrline Salas has nearly 20 years of pediatric hospital experience at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, where she started out as a nursing student. She has since worked in various roles as a clinical staff nurse, a curriculum administrator for the RN Residency Program, and most recently as Patient Safety Program manager in the Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Department.
Throughout her career, her interests have focused on staff and professional development, change management, process improvement, and patient safety. Most notably, in her role as Patient Safety Program Manager, she has been part of various teams involved in an organization-wide bid to eliminate preventable harm through high reliability efforts entitled, "Safe and Sound: Aim for Zero Harm." As part of this initiative, Edahrline helped develop the curriculum focusing on various topics, chief of which were error prevention techniques through teamwork and communication.
