Dr. Deborah Lafond received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Maryland in 2012 and her Masters in Nursing from the University of Hawaii in 1990. She is an Assistant Professor in the George Washington University School of Medicine. She served as the Chair of National APHON Evidence-Based Practice and Research Committee 2012-2105. She is an Assistant Professor in the George Washington University School of Medicine.
Dr. Lafond is a 2015 Sojourns Scholar in Palliative Care with the Cambia Health Foundation, completing an evidence-based practice project in implementing primary palliative care education and skill-based mentorship for the bedside clinician. She is a national ELNEC-Pediatric Palliative Care Trainer and an EPEC-Pediatrics trainer.
