Pediatric oncology and stem cell transplant (SCT) RN since 1987. Unit preceptor on the SCT unit from 1988-1995. In 1995 assumed the role of the clinical coordinator on the oncology/hematology unit. Responsible for staff evaluation, budget, and the daily running of the 19-bed unit. In 10/03, assumed the role of patient educator, responsible for overseeing patient education on the inpatient oncology unit. I

n 2004-present, assumed the role of clinical educator of the inpatient oncology unit and in 2010 the outpatient oncology unit (Jimmy Fund Clinic). CPON certified from 2000-present and CPHON certified 2013-present. Planned and coordinated a pediatric oncology/hematology nursing certification review conference from 2001-present. Multiple podium and poster presentations at the national APHON conference from 2001-present. Have also presented at ONS, SPN and ASPHO. 10/04 completed the APHON Pediatric Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Instructor course. CPHON RN of the Year in 2012 and APHON Chemo/Bio Instructor of the Year 2014.
