Cecilia Gladbach is currently the Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT) Coordinator /MIBG Coordinator for Children's Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. She is also a coordinator for the CAR T Cell therapy program. She has been an HSCT coordinator for the past 13 years and has worked as both an inpatient and outpatient nurse in the Center for Cancer Blood Disorders at Children's Medical Center for the past 26 years.
She graduated from the University of Texas, Arlington with her BSN and started her career in Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU). Through her experience working with Rooming In during the discharge process in the NICU, she knew it had a huge impact on the success of their discharge. With stem cell transplant patients, their discharges can be very difficult and complex, so she and her colleague integrated the rooming-in process to improve the quality of discharge post HSCT. Cecilia is involved and a medical coordinator for Camp Esperanza, a camp for kids with Cancer. She is active in her local APHON chapter. She is the current chair of our APHON Mentoring Committee.
