Anna graduated from Georgetown University in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in nursing, with an international health certificate. She began her nursing career as an inpatient nurse on the oncology floor at Boston Children's Hospital. She obtained her Master's degree in nursing (pediatric nurse practitioner) from Boston College in 2011.
Following graduation, she completed a palliative care interdisciplinary fellowship with the Pediatric Advanced Care Team at Boston Children's Hospital and Dana Farber Cancer Institute. She currently works at BCH and DFCI as a nurse practitioner on the hematologic malignancy program, caring for both inpatients and outpatients.
