Amy Spence, MS, RN, CPN, CPON Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital, Advanced Nursing Education Specialist. Amy received her BSN from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 1999. She received her Master’s in Nursing Administration and Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in 2010.
She began her career at VCU Medical Center as a staff RN then advanced to clinical coordinator and interim manager. She has been the Advanced Nursing Education Specialist at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital since 2011 on the Cancer & Blood Disorders Institute inpatient unit. She also works with the Vascular Access Team and Infusion Center. Amy is an instructor for the APHON Chemo/Biotherapy Provider Course as well as the ELNEC-PPC (End of Life Nursing Education Consortium-Pediatric Palliative Care) workshop. Amy had the privilege of presenting at an international oncology conference in the United Arab Emirates in November 2016. She has co-authored several poster presentations as well as serving as a co-investigator on an evidence based practice project.
